I have a CTC gift card burning to get used and now that Daulton McGinty told me that it expires, I want to use it. I was thinking about getting either a Sirius or XM Sat Radio. Anyone care to shill for either of these systems and their hardware? If the only thing that Sirius has to offer is Howard Stern, that will not sway me - I really don't care to listen to him. Last I heard, I think XM was in worse financial shape. That may be a consideration.

I have XM radio. It has alot of different music channels all commercial free. I have it for the NHL games they put on every night and the Collage football they play. They cover ACC, PAC-10 and BIG-12, that also includes collage bball.
I have SIRIUS and am quite happy with it as I do a lot of driving between TO and Ottawa. DON"T whatever you do, bite on their promos of buy this and get a rebate BS. I did and the F**CKERS never sent what they said they would. I agreed to sign up and get a boombox during their father's day sale (back in June) and was promised a boombox in 4 - 6 weeks. NEVER GOT IT and this OCTOBER! I have no complaints about the service. I bought it so I could listen to CFL games on Friday night as I am drving on the 401 heading to TO.
I had both. If you're looking for quantity and variations, they are the answer to your prayers. I joined in blindly (signed before the launch) due to the promise of "true CD-quality sound". It's nowhere near CD quality, doesn't even sound like a 192 kbps MP3.
Sirius without a doubt, being an Ex Pat from the UK BBC Radio 1 is just like being over home again... that & Stern!!!
