Oh boy, the climate activists won't like to hear this. I guess the excuse of climate change maybe not be the cause all the time like they want.
Premier Moe said many of the wild fires were human caused, either intentionally or by accident.
Much like the Quebec fires a few years ago, and the Maui fire.

you expect us to be surprised? That has always been the case that idiots start many of the fires, but the dry conditions and high winds make them grow and spread faster.

I agree with you. Also most of the forest that are burning as we speak are old and resinous. Therefore more sensitive to the heat. Combined with the factors above it's a catastrophe bound to happen. Forestery machinery can be another factor.

Preventative measures such as controlled burns and clearing of underbrush may have lessened the rapidity of the spread of some of the fires.

When Europeans first came to North America they described it as an untamed wilderness but in actual fact First Nations had been, for thousands of years, shaping the forests by using fire. They'd set fire to a patch of forest early in the spring just after the snow melted but before the land dried out. Allowing dead wood and underbrush to burn but not the mature trees. Turns out Smokey the Bear wasn't the greatest PSA after all

Just because the fires might have been started by man doesn't negate the impact of climate change...

Nobody, and I mean nobody has actual proof forest fires not started by humans is directly the result of so called climate change.
Agreed. However, a strong argument can be made that climate change exacerbates the problem and makes large, uncontrollable wildfires more frequent.

The climate will continue to change for the rest of time. It has been changing since the Earth was formed. Long before humans got here.
If there was such an emergency of climate change/forest fires the liberals would have taken all the billions collected from the carbon tax and given it to the provinces for water bombers and more firefighting equipment years ago. Instead they blew it on pet projects that had nothing to do with this false narrative of climate change.
