Won the phone in a raffle at work - phone will be delivered via UPS to my place sometime this week so I wont know what color it is until then. But will certainly post that info on the thread as soon as I receive the phone. Im guessing it should say the color of the phone on the box.

Technically the I9300 and I747 is very similar. The I9300 is the international version (like a factory unlocked apple iphone). The I9300 has a quad core processor, while the I747 has a dual core processor. The I747 are locked phones to specific providers.

You can always speak to Rogers in regards to system hardware upgrades... Its a cheaper alternative. Hope this helps.

You are really lucky. Fido is nuts when it comes to upgrading your phone on an existing contract. They sometimes make you buy out your existing contract or pay a fine to cancel.

Fido will let generally you upgrade your phone within the last six months of your contract, with a three-year contract extension. Anything earlier will cost you $$.
