This is not to spur or fuel a debate on phones but just a heads up particularly those who have just upgraded to the Galaxy S21.
I have been using an old phone with my Android Auto until the phone port went defective. I use to love photography as a kid and I was interested in getting my feet wet to see if the old passion is still there. As the phone is a business expense for me anyway - I took the leap and got the S-21 Ultra. As with all the latest phones, I was blown away by the advanced features. You can imagine my surprise when the one thing this phone doesn't do that the old one did - connect to Android Auto. I had to dig the internet to find out what was happening but the S-21 has Android Auto connection issues.
The phone has only been out a few weeks so I will wait to see if they fix the problem quickly. Just an FYI for those who bought or are thinking about this model.
***** UPDATE ***** A new software has fixed the problem. Removed and updated Chrome and Android Auto with new versions after bulletin from Samsung. Still think they should have checked before the release.
