Statement #1. Wrong. Regardless of the ruling, Nolan's pay will not count against the Leafs' cap (unless he actually plays for them, I assume). The league has ruled on that already.the_big_E said:I highly doubt Nolan will be back...if the arbitrator rules the Leafs are responsibly for his salary or whatever, then they are screwed because they'd be over the cap.
No, they shouldnt go after either of them...they should get LUONGO
do you mean this season, though?shack said:Toronto needs to replace Belfour very soon.
For Luongo, I'd be patient and wait until next year if need be, via free agency. However if Florida feels he's gonna bolt they'd probably want to trade him to get something in return. That makes him more expensive but probably still worth it. He can be the cornerstone of a franchise for the next 10 years.21pro said:do you mean this season, though?
rubme said:How funny are you "lappie" If you looked into what was done you would know that the Av's did not pick up the options because it would have cost them about $600,000.00 against this years salary cap. The can now resign them to a longer term deal with out the cap hit.
