With so many people still not back at work , the weekend frenzy is already being felt in the air . Weekenders are heading out early, towing their boats/toys , campers , utility trailers. Traffic volume is definitely already higher here in Eastern Ontario . With long weekends , come the usual hazards, so we can anticipate typical long weekend chaos scenarios around southern Ontario involving gridlocked urban escape routes . My predictions , ( and I will check back Tuesday morning , lol),:
3 deaths by motorcycle; 5 auto fatalities ; 4 Drownings ; 9 stunt driving charges ; uncountable # of DUI’s ; and in view of the current Virus situation , likely a few civilian brawls at cottage country stores , either in the extended lineups , or in the stores themselves . Let’s welcome the return of some liberties , and hope we remain immune from becoming one of the weekend statistics. Play safe , stay safe. Keep your wits about you. Don’t have a cerebral blowout. Lol
Cheers

Great time for planting vegetables. Be self sufficient in food.

My garlic, which is planted in November , is shooting up , as are the onions . Great time to stay off the roads . The motorbike stays parked on weekends. Monday’s thru Friday’s are safer once all the crazy weekenders disappear

Outdoor open fire ban went into place April 3rd for all of Ontario, for those who didn't know already.

That said, some areas are allowing open fires so check for your specific town/county/etc. The town near where I live has lifted the fire ban, hoping the country I'm in does by tomorrow as well. Staying home and off the roads like many others, be nice to have backyard camp fires at least this weekend.

Wow. That sucks.

Saw lots of bikes in my way to the trailer.

Can say the change in scenery is awesome.

Update. 5 Ontario motorcycle fatalities as of Saturday evening. Some self inflicted. Others were victims of drunk drivers in cars
