hmmmm

I guess an appropriate venue would be the Hague. Might as well.....maybe he can share cells with some of the more notable war criminals there.

As far as embarassing leaders....given the chance, a sniveling, hole hiding, cowardly little scum bag like him would rat out his mother to save his pathetic, pitiful little hide. Of course he would.

Punishment? - hmmmm...tough one - if the trial is at the Hague, I'm not sure if they have a Capital judgement? I'm sure in Iraq it would be "off with the head".

I'd say the Hague, or Iraq maybe after a legitimate independent government is established.

He has much to answer for.

sick of it all
Any way you cut it the trial is going to be a joke. There is no way Saddam Hussein is going to get to talk before the November election. What exactly is Saddam Hussein guilty of that George Bush isn't? When it is all said and done, they are both guilty of killing thousands of innocent people to further their own self-interests. Both of them would do anything to stay in power no matter what the collateral damage to human life is. There is very little "moral" difference between the two, at least to the impartial observer.

Papasmerf your feelings are anti-American! :p In America the due process of law is the "American" way. I think that you should be brought before a committee of unAmerican activities.
