Here's a organization that needs to get their ass in gear...they've had multiple chances with high draft picks, trades, free agent signings, hiring and firing and yet fail fail fail.

Would he even go back? He was a great coach, won the Jack Adams, and when he went for a new contract, they tried to fuck him over and offered him a tiny raise. Then they spread rumours that he was a drinker.

Now, that being said, I think Sabres fans are awesome. They love the team, are rabid supporters (similar to Leafs fans), but the management keeps shitting the bed. They make bad trades, draft poorly, and pick fights with star players. I don't know what the solution is, but the team on paper is better than their record.

Rumour has it that Nolan went behind GM Muckler's back to the owner and tried to get him fired and apparently he tried the same thing with the Islanders...I wouldn't hire him.

Shortly after Marek's show yesterday, Sabres GM Kevyn Adams held a press conference in which he stated his preference for a coach with NHL experiece. So today, Marek speculated the names Berube and Ruff. Also, he brought up the interesting point that Adams and current Carolina head coach Rod Brind'amour used to be teammates back in their playing days. Brind'amour has no contract beyond this year, so let the speculation begin.

And it looks like they will be again. Ruff has been hired by the Sabres to fill their head coaching vacancy. It'll be interesting to see what he does with the young talent on their roster. I think it's a good hiring.
