The police have warned people around the Ryerson University area to be extra careful as a woman was abducted there by 6 men in a van last week.

EDIT: Mods, please correct my spelling of "Ryerson" in the title. Thanks.

Don't reply to too many threads, but thought I would to this one. Not to put too much blame on the victim but what woman knowingly gets into a van @ 9:30 pm at night with 6 male strangers she doesn't know. I'm pretty sure you know what their intentions are and unless they threatened you with a weapon (which in the report says "no weapons were used") then you should be saying NO and/or fuck off. Something doesn't add up with this story either that or this chick is really naive.

If you read the article, which I assume you did, since there I was the 2nd post and it isn't hard to miss the link...
"after leaving work at about 9:30 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up. Const. Wendy Drummond said the six men inside demanded that the woman get in and she did so, possibly out of fear."

She was scared shitless, can't blame her. She had the mentality of "no matter what I do, I'm in trouble."

Wasn't there also a woman in a U of T parking lot who might also have been abducted a while back? And then there is the mysterious disappearance of 17 year old MM (can't spell her full name) two years ago.

Just awful. I cannot tell you how many times I have advised my daughters, nieces, etc to never walk alone at night. Always in pairs or groups if possible.

These bastards hang around universities because there are a lot of young ladies (target rich). Think of all the sexual assaults and rapes in and around York University in recent years.
