Derringer had a very colourful past that sometimes he talks about. He used to be quite the substance abuser - coke, drugs, pot, booze, cigarettes - all of which he has admitted to on the air. He has even admitted to being high many times on the air (along with John Gallagher wherever the hell he is now).

Anyway, according to JD, he has put his druggie days behind him. He's married with 3 kids living out in the burbs somewhere round Stouffville or some god foresaken place like that.

As for being high while on the air, I know of another DJ on another well known station that is every day.

Ryan is not the brightest bulb in the box, but he does come across as a very decent guy.

I'm not a big listener of the 'Q, but it is my wake-up alarm. He is really bad as the lead man on the shift - almost painful to listen to. Maybe the 'Q should stick an off-shift lead DJ in during absences. Keep Ryan as a side-kick, that's his best pitch.

Strange twist of fate - The 'Q plays a lot of "Top 30 Pop" from the '70's that in the '70's they wouldn't dare play. I guess yesterdays top 30 is tomorrows classic rock.

What's the problem with q107, 1 out of every 10 songs they play is Led Zeppelin....

Nothing wrong with Led Zeppelin. I love Zeppelin (though interestingly, when I was in High School in the late 70's early 80's I despised LZ. Mainly because all the loogins in my HS loved them so much).

I agree that Q plays a lot of shitty music, but they also play a lot of good music. So you take the bad with the good.

When I hear "Mississippi Queen" (over and over and over) or anything by Lynyrd Skynyrd, or any kind of "good ole boy" music (David Wilcox, some stuff by the band), anything by Foreigner, I immediately hit the dial.

Q in the morning ROCKS ! That is all I listen too. yes, many of the host have moved on (or pushed out). Hayes went to AM with Bill Waters for Leaf Talk. I don't think that still on ??? Craigie was good.
JD has had a very colourful past, and he is now in his 40's married with children living north of the city. We all change.
