So, Putin helped Trump get elected in 2016 (fairly well established, even before Tucker's confession) and NATO forces Russia to mass troops on the border and then invade Ukraine. They had recruitment in mind from the beginning, wanting Finland and Sweden as members. Think about it, headquartered in the Hague, NATO is now the tool of the international Dutch conspiracy (as seen in National Lampoon magazine, it goes waaay back)...
