I am a proud Russian!! But I will never support bloodshed in any country.. be it Ukraine, Iraq or Syria. As a matter of fact there are anti war protests on the streets of Russia as we speak.
And if you ask any Russian life in the Soviet times was very happy..not that you know any of it even though you have a lot to say…
And I am glad that Russia has Putin instead of that idiot Ukrainian president zelenski, who had a lot to say about nuclear weapons coming back in the last 2 weeks…now he doesn’t have Chernobyl..!
One thing I agree with you here is that is not a thread to post jokes…. That’s for sure:(
Cheers
400 anti-war protesters arrested in Russia so far.

Lol no worries, I’m glad you are having a good day..
I am genuinely curious as to Russian overwhelmingly approve of Putin. What is it that people like about him? To me, he is a thug with no morals, and is only intent on serving himself, not his people. I suppose the media has somethign to do with his populairty, but stil it's a myster to me.

This is tragic.

Nothing to joke about.

Make no mistake, the Soviets are brutal. Stalin's indiscriminate brutality made Hitler look like an aggrieved Karen.

Putin has all the characteristics of Stalin, just nicer suits and advanced KGB abilities. These "proud" Russians supporting him should brush up on Russian life in "Soviet times" before they let him get too far.
We warned that idiot Zelenskyy multiple times that the Russkies were coming, I mean everyone and their uncle could see that they were coming for him and his country but instead the fool choose to bury his head in the sand and hand wave it all away.

But Ukraine’s emergency response systems have not been tested, the military reserves have not been called up and in Kostyantynivka, many are relaxed.
He should have mobilized the reserves and preemptively evacuated civilians living in close proximity to military bases and other strategic targets that anyone with even an elementary understanding of warfare knew would be almost immediately targeted at the out break of war.

Shrugging off claims that his government was in denial, he referred to the Netflix movie “Don’t Look Up” starring Leonardo DiCaprio, a satire about climate change in which a fictional American president willfully ignores an extinction-level comet speeding toward Earth in order to preserve her ratings.

“There is a feeling abroad that there is war here. That’s not the case,”
Military casualties are a given in any conflict but it's a tragedy any time civilians are lost and the blood of those civilians are on his hands as much if not more so than anyone else for not taking the threat as seriously as he should have.

*Edit* I'm more than willing to acknowledge when I am completely wrong about something and I certainly was wrong about Zelenskyy. The man is a true hero and a very courageous and honorable person. It seems as though I was wrong about my assessment about him being unprepared for the invasion, at least from the military perspective. Clearly Ukraine's military is a very well trained one considering how that they have performed incredibly well up onto to this point at least.

Yup, he truly is an idiot. Warned by the West that attack was imminent, he denied it and didn't warn his citizens. Then finally he started to cry like a little bitch, and demanded that the West impose sanctions before the attack.

I agree with you. Nice guy that Zelensky. Apparently a decent comedian too.

Too simple and totally unsuited to the job of matching wits or otherwise going up against Putin.

The year is 2022, nobody with a brain should ever look UP to any politician. They’re all cockroaches.

So you think a politician is an immoral thug, what are you gonna do about it? That’s what I thought. Maybe people hate him, but maybe their lives are good enough that people look the other way and don’t get involved in politics. In Canada you have freedom to mouth off, in Russia your family will disappear. Even billionaires aren’t untouchable from Putin.

What a hopeless view.

Corruption in Canadian politicians is really quite low. Some are idiots, but most aren't crooks.
Even Ford gives away cash endlessly to business, like the 407, but other than Mulroney and his paper bags of money, people don't think Canadian politicians are crooks. He's a sycophant to money, but he's not a cockroach.

All that does is justify supporting someone who clearly is a cockroach, like rump.

The Dumbass should declared Ukraine a Neutral state and granted Donbass autonomy.
