Hi folks, just wanted to get some discussion of the Royal going. Any one had good experiences there. I know their VIP sucks (not in a good way) but any one else have comments.

Last time I was at the Royal, one of the girls came by and begged me for a VIP dance. Thought Id be nice even tho I knew dances at the Royal are always a joke. As expected it was a no mileage dance as the VIPs there always are. Could have done the same thing at my table with more privacy. She offerrs a second which I politely decline at $20 a pop. Then came this attitude as if I owed her something. Handed her $20, she rips it out of my hand, heads off in a snit without so much as a thanks. Back to my table I go shaking my head. Five minutes later, if that, the bouncer comes over and tells me I have to leave. Apparently she went to him and said I tried to touch her innapropriately. I told him what happened and what total crap it was since she was never closer than two feet away from me in a VIP area which is wide open for everyone to see and especially since another bouncer dedicated to this 5 foot by 12 foot area called VIP watches every move you make and didnt say or do anything.

Place isnt worth the money you put in the parking meter anyway. Ive never been back and never will.

We've all been there. I had an experience like that at the Dynasty (RIP) once. The dancer was getting into it and she was talking up a storm moaning "Oh yes baby... grab my ass... I love it..." so I just did what the girl asked me to do.

In the words of Ron "Tater Salad" White...

"It spilled into the parking lot and I backed down from the fight. I don't know how many bouncers it would have taken to kick my ass. But I knew how many they were gonna use!"

Ron is my hero. :D

Dances at the Royal are now 20 bucks? When did that change? They have always been 10. Was in there at Xmas and they were still 10. The girls know if they charge 20 they will make nothing.

Table dances at your table $10, VIP dances $20. That being said, VIP dances arent any different than a table dance now except for the price. And yes, so for what amounts to a standard table dance at the other end of the room at $20 per dance, they arent getting any business anymore. Those days are long gone. If youre looking for a spot to go with buddies for a beer and see some "free" stage entertainment for the price of the beer, its all thats left now in Oshawa / Whitby. As for the dances, table or VIP, save your dough. Mileage is so low its not worth it.

Between a rock and a hard place
I remember when Ceasars in Scarborough went through the same business model. I had 2 dances and 2 drinks and was still bounced from the joint within 40 minutes of my arrival. That was back in 1989 when there were no review boards to whine to.

Things went crazy there for a while when lap dances were considered legal. Thats when the $20 private dance came in. The $20 private dance was a high milage three minutes so not so hard to take. Once the law clamped back down tho the $20 provate dance became a $20 low milage table dance in a not so private VIP area. The girls didnt want to drop the prices. Eventually some dropped the price to $10 out of necessity. It varies from place to place now but in the long run, I think patrons got spoiled for a while and now the girls are struggling to make it offerring standard table dances

Can't figure out strip clubs

Why would anyone go to VIP rooms to pay good money to get teased when for the same bucks someone can look after you very well?

I mean it's Ok to have a beer and watch a sexy girl dance, or to go with a bunch of guys, but beyond that????
