Another vote for Hemmingways. The place is managed well and the crowd is loaded with eye candy. Young ladies and MILFS abound. Post college dudes and geezers are all welcomed.
Even the bouncers are organized, have good manners and are not on an ego trip. If there is anything the Prez hates it is a kid who mowed yards last year bossing everyone around because he is now in charge of a rope lline. They run a fair waiting line when they are busy at Hemmingways, the bar food is decent, and the waitresses are attractive, friendly, and efficient. The glass roof retracts when the weather is nice, but he roof rocks even in colder months with the top up.
Another good place just for a drink on an outdoor patio is a little place just west of the Metro grocery store on Front St. where that street comes together with Wellington. They make the best Mojitos in Toronto with anjeo rum and no prefabricated tropical juices. This is the real deal. Can't remember the name but it is near the corner of where you would walk south from the first King St trolley stop after Yonge St and turn then left to walk toward Metro.
