It was nerves; the snap was perfect, but he just mishandled it. You got to feel kind of bad for the kid, but it's still hilarious just because it happened to Dallas.

Tuna

I smell some bad nasty big tuna.
They Choked.
Romo is not as good as his first few games and not as bad as the last two.

That was a weird game at the end with Seattle recovering for a Safety, almost a touchdown, and the fumbled snap for the field goal. I know it happens, but it couldn't have happened at the worst time for Dallas, a routine, simple kick. Romo almost ran it in though, it was a diving tackle that got his feet or else he would have been in, quite entertaining game actually.

Actually the muffed FG made no difference.

Dallas covers either way.

Pro Bowler ?.....ok. Tells me how bad the rest of the QBs are in that conference. Hell at this point I think Favre is more deserving.

I am waiting for TO to come out and lose it. You know he is going to open his pie hole any day now and blame everyone. What did he have - 2 catches? I didn't see most of the second half as I was on my way to work but heard it on the radio.

Wonder who will stay and who will go - Tuna or TO?

Well the Eagles showed how it's done tonite. Tie game and they march down to field goal territory and set a 38 yarder chip shot for Akers, who nails it. You could see the confidence in the field goal unit and you just knew they wouldn't screw it up. Akers is a great clutch kicker right up there with Vinatieri.

What a difference a few inches make. Romo was so close to getting a first down or a touchdown for that matter, and would have been a hero. I don't get why your starting qb is the fg holder. All other teams have a specialist who practices regularly on these snaps. I doubt your starting qb is very focused on this task. He'll recover from it and get stronger.

I kinda put the blame on Parcells for the loss lost night. I know the could have made another first down and ran out the clock and then tried a field goal but i think if i was the coach i would have tried the field goal on 3rd down just in case they fucked it up like ended up happening then you still have 4th down to try it again.I ws really hoping to see the Boys come to Soldier Field next week now we have the Seachickens coming back. I just hope it dont end up like the Carolina game the 2nd time they came last year. Somethings up though the early line is DaBears -9.5 o/u 38:eek:

Romo was the backup really to Drew Bledslow, so he was the holder from the start, but i see your point why they just dont teach some shmo who doesnt play much how to hold the ball

Anyways the Cowboys blow..

They explained this last night. Madden said that most teams have the backup QB as the holder. Well, Romo was backup QB since training camp, so when he became starter he just kept the job for continuity.

As a Giants fan, I definitely had visions in my head of a reprise of Romo's nightmare and the Eagles blowing the FG at the end. Not even close. Right through the uprights, dead center, for Akers.

The commentators definitely talked about the possibility of taking a shot at the FG on 3rd down, so that in the event of a botched snap, they'd get another shot. But the big difference in last night's game is that the score was tied at the time, so even if they muff the FG, the worse that can happen is that the game is tied and they go into OT.

Anyway, the Giants stink. I feel Eli took a huge step backwards this season, although he did lead a nice drive to tie the game. The problem though, is that their defense cannot stop anyone when it counts. I'm glad the agony of having to watch them is over.

Go Chargers!
