$3209.33 is $1 trillion divided by the American population. Why not just admit you were exaggerating?
yeah, and that 1 trillion would soon go to just paying the interest on the national debt. keep in mind 50% of americans pay no taxes now bc they don't earn enough so right now the u.s. govt would need to collect 6400 in taxes from each taxpayer according to you, americans who are barely getting by now. a huge fiscal cliff is coming of higher interest rates, less tax revenue due to the weakening economy, and baby boomers retiring needing social security and medical care. that 6400 this year would be going much much higher. also, that 6400 would just cover the 2012 deficit, what about they debt america already owes? obviously you arnt thinking rationally. take 6400 from each american taxpayer and watch how fast the phony consumer economy crumbles, then we'd be looking at what a 2 trillion deficit? but guess what the phony consumer economy is already failing it inevitably has too! regardless you are looking at a much higher national debt any way you slice it

according to usdebtclock.org the federal deficit so far in 2012 is 1.25 trillion and counting by the second, the federal government has spent 3.6 trillion and counting, each american citizens share of the total national debt is 50k and counting, each taxpayer owes 140k and counting. total current unfunded liabilities as of now stands at 120 trillion and counting. if you think any of this is sustainable than you are completely nuts

The situation is indeed critical. Taxes has to be increased, which Romney & co refuses.

I'm just pointing out, "no amount of tax revenue would solve the problem" was false, or at least an exaggeration. I agree that spending needs to be reduced, primarily on the military, DHS, and other things that are essentially pure cost centers that offer next to no benefit in return. A combination of that, plus tax rises, are obviously needed. The US also has a problem with its civil court systems, it needs to be reigned in--legislation limiting the size of judgements on medical malpractice and other such things would reign in a lot of the healthcare costs. That and a single payer system.

This is a lie. It's one of those bullshit stats that has been posted by various GOP sources, I schooled OTB at one point for repeating it as well. In their original versions it's got a bunch of caveats that are lost when people like you repeat it. You should check into where it came from, and realize that it is in fact completely untrue, and even in the original version, deeply misleading. It maybe you aren't even aware of the source...

Great pick, he made the POTUS look like a fool at the "health care round table"..... Biden should be worried he'll get his ass kicked in a VP debate.

what do you mean its a lie? 47% to be exact don't pay federal INCOME tax its an official govt stat. what the left claims is that they do pay taxes bc apparently they pay payroll taxes ( uh their employer pays the payroll tax ), and bc they pay social security taxes, sales taxes when they buy things etc. its those who pay federal income taxes that are PAYING their employees payroll taxes. the whole argument from the left is a compete farce I highly doubt you school OTB he doesnt come across as that stupid

Again hilarious advise coming from you. You've be shown time and time again to be ill informed, illogical and to put it bluntly idiotic, but all you do is going on to your next groundless claim until exposed by any number of members, with actual fact and figures, one more time. It's getting boring. Kind of a feckless claim to qualify your banging you head against a wall, since the world also has Romney and and Paul in it, so you won't have to deliver on it, kind of like Paul, but don't let that stop you.

look at all the current numbers I posted regarding debt and deifcits that are actual facts and not from "GOP sources", how can any logical person of average intelligence just say they need to raise taxes and thatll solve the problem. btw, to clear up any confusion when I said 47% of americans don't pay taxes I was referring to federal income taxes

All facts, but then I guess I should have said pertinent facts to your claims.
