The couple needs suggestions from TO residents...
Both not from the TO area, both are from the west and will be in TO for a few days/nights for romance.

Already read the Romantic Restaurants thread started by datemasamune and good suggestions there.

Couple is mid 40s.

One night to splurge, the other nights reasonable "date" activity.

Restaurant suggestions
Hotel suggestions
Spa suggestions
Date strip joint suggestions
Activity/site seeing suggestions

Advance thanks for your help

Hmmm I think la castille is a nice restaurant they have a website with one of the pics having a great view of the place. Ask to reserve that table in particular.

How about going to a latin dance club I believe there's one downtown that has dance lessons as part of the evening.

Or a walk in high park.

Sign up for a sex seminar of some kind at come as you are.

The CN tower has a great view.

What about a night at the symphony? Might be fun to get dressed up if that's not something they do often.

Okay and here's one non serious response.... get a SP for a threesome.

Hi Marlene,

I googled it and came up with this link the dates are old but some of the clubs are still open.....

Look into the Lula Lounge I think it's on 1585 Dundas St W maybe near ossington or dufferin (just a guess).

http://www.tosalsa.com/clubs/newclubs.htm

Anyways, this should give you a start.

Here's a link to the Lula lounge look for their Friday night events

http://www.lula.ca/

I think $49 gets you dinner and dance lessons. From what I hear it makes for a fun night, the tables line the perimeter of the room allowing those not into dancing to sit and watch which can also be entertaining or you can get out on the dance floor.

Wanna go?:D

I know of a friend that went to a function at the CN tower that was till 10 or later but that was private so maybe it was rented you'll have to call and see.

High park at night probably not the best idea besides the beauty and charm of it is hard to appreciate in the dark.

La Castille is a 70s steakhouse. The steaks are OK but overpriced. The waiters are patronizing . . dark wood furniture, not what I would call a romantic atomsphere. Stick to downtown. Kit-Kat on Queen Street is nice, so is Southern Accent on Markham Street if you like spicy Cajun.

La Castille is suburban . . not near anything except the Misssauga Gate Motel . . I think the rooms there cost less than a LaCastille steak. :))

Yeah it was just a suggestion based on a conversation that came up recently with a friend so it was on my mind. I've never actually been there but the website looked nice enough to me.

I think a lot of upscale restuarants can easily be considered pretentious. Why should a drink cost double digits when it's half the price elsewhere.

But that's a whole other story.

Both the observation deck & the restaurant (360) close at 10 (10:30 on Fridays & Saturdays). The restaurant there is actually pretty good with a nice selection of wines. Obviously the view is pretty good too. If you go to the restaurant, you get to go to the observation deck afterwards for free.

Hotel suggestions

Can't go wrong with phnine's suggestion. Or check out Le Germain - if you like luxe-modern. Some of the rooms have fireplaces and their bathrooms are the most romantic I've seen! The restaurant downstairs (Luce) is highly recommended for a romantic dinner (Italian-fusion) or just for drinks before heading out.

In terms of a romantic hotel to stay at when in town, I suggest the Windsor Arms. A bit on the pricey side, but well worth it IMO. They also have a world class spa attached to this hotel.

Here is the link:
