Family feuds happen fairly often. When I lived in Montreal there were stories of how Sam Bronfman cut his brothers out of the Seagram fortune. Here in Toronto we have the Stronachs.

John Tory reportedly tried to help broker a peace. Can you imaging if Rob Ford did the same thing, what the reaction would have been?
Maybe it's just a coincidence, but since Ted Rogers passed away, and Nadir Mohammed(?sp) retired, the quality of the FAN590 has steadily declined. Back then The FAN was firmly ahead of TSN radio in ratings for all time slots and age groups. Much different now.
Speaking of radio stations, CityNews (formerly 680NEWs) have some weird announcers/hosts.
They try to tell time without actually saying the actual hour.
Example: It is now 25 minutes past the hour (but they don't tell you the actual hour).
We were speaking about the board of directors at Rogers and Rogers is not a radio station.

Rich... self indulgent... people... with deep pockets... and lots of time available... to fight wars of attrition... over... and about... nothing... but ego!
The lawyers make themselves... totally available... to their clients... to talk about all kinds... of foolishness and nonsense... while the clock keeps ticking... at top market rates... and when it all finally ends... mostly from exhaustion... on both sides...the lawyers take home... that something extra... they need... to buy that loaded Tesla Model X... or Bentley GT convertible...
The irony... is that the clients... pay through the nose... and there is no reason... for the lawyers to even feel guilty... about the expense... because... these people deserve... what they themselves create...
These cases... are God's gift... to lawyers... although... I still do not understand... why God... would want to be... so generous... to their profession!

Complaining about how they announce the time on 680 News has absolutely nothing to do with the Rogers family feud and how it affects the corporation, the topic of this thread. It also has nothing to do with FAN590.

I'll take responsibility for being the first to mention radio. Simply put, I felt Rogers interests in the radio business started to suffer once under the control of Edward Rogers, whereas it flourished under Ted.
Surprised how few people here seem to know anything about corporations. Guessing corp execs have trouble carving out time to hobby, so maybe most Terbites are entrepreneurs in some way.
John Tory ran Rogers for years, hence his credibility with the Board. Ted Rogers started with his father’s radio station (I think CFRB), hence their dominance in radio. Between Rogers and Bell they own nearly all TV and radio broadcasters in Ontario and most in Canada outside of Quebec.
Edward is widely known to be nearly a moron, but in a decades-long battle with his sisters, esp. Melinda, who is much smarter but never ran a business whereas Edward ran cable.
The battle was at a detante with the ousting of Guy Lawrence and hiring of Joe Natale, whom both Edward and Melinda supported.
But Edward has always played a long game, and intends to literally become his father and master of all Rogers business interests.
Those around him mostly block his ambitions because of a fear that he will destroy the company and the stock price, because as I mentioned - he’s a moron.
