I saw Hothouse Flowers at The Rockpile, (Masonic Temple at Yonge & Davenport), spring, 1989. Great live band!
Sabre Dance was a #5 hit on the UK singles charts for Love Sculpture in 1968. The performance was a live recording from their appearance on the German music TV show Beat Club. This Welsh band, led by guitarist Dave Edmunds, generally performed Sabre Dance whenever they played a live gig, in the sound check.
i know David Edmonds from this........a cover of a Fats Domino song..........both versions i enjoy
Dave Edmunds was the first artist signed by Led Zeppelin to their Swan Song label. He was part of Rockpile, (1976-81), with Nick Lowe. Dave, Nick and Rockpile were all signed to different recording labels, but when the band played live, the set list of a combination of songs from all three acts.
