Robert Lamm with the lead vocals. One of Chicago's very best songs.

Nirvana - Live at Paradiso Theater, Amsterdam, NL 25 November, 1991:

This is my Xvid/.avi version of one of the DVDs circulating on livenirvana(dot)com:

I don't know which version I have. Some of the seven listed above are just clips, not the full concert. I think this show was broadcast on television in The Netherlands, and possibly released on home video there. The most recent one is probably better quality than this one I acquired more than fifteen years ago.

You can watch this show on YouTube:

My version is about five minutes longer than the "(Full Concert)" copy uploaded by DrainedNirvana, and about twelve minutes longer than the remastered 720p link.

I think at least one person filmed every gig Nirvana ever played, including the ones before they had a recording contract, when ten people were in the audience. I really like the April 17, 1991 show from OK Hotel in Seattle, filmed from the audience, close to the stage. The camera work is amateurish, but you really get the impression that you are in the crowd watching the show, as opposed to at home, watching on TV.

This is my TV -> SP VHS -> .mpg digital capture from 2003, uploaded by someone else. Any YouTube music videos with the City Limits logo are my work. I've found a few, including Psychobilly Freakout by Reverend Horton Heat. There's another copy of this song on YouTube, from an official source, but in my opinion, the overall quality is worse:

I saw Geraldine Fibbers at The Horseshoe Tavern in 1998. The sound was horrible; I couldn't hear the vocals at all.

I had a couple of beers while speaking to the band's drummer, who was out in the bar before the show. I recognized him from this video, but no one else in the bar knew who he was. I think MuchMusic only played the video twice, and only on City Limits.

The lead singer is Carla Bozulich; (sorry guys, she's a lesbian). There is no person named "Geraldine Fibbers"; the band name comes from the Flip Wilson character.

Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes - Having a Party, (Live at The Stone Pony 1991)

This is an Xvid/.avi DVD rip I made recently, a promotional film for the album Better Days. Impact Records went tits up while The Jukes were on tour promoting their then current album. I missed the Toronto show; it was October 24, 1992, the same night as game 6 of the 1992 World Series.

The band played a relatively short concert, mostly from the Better Days album before the video shoot for the song It's Been A Long Time, which features Bruce Springsteen and Steve Van Zandt. Jersey boy Jon Bon Jovi duets with Johnny on I've Been Working Too Hard.

Rock Goes to College - The Police (1979)

Rock Goes to College was a live music television show on the BBC from 1978-81. All shows were filmed at concert venues on the campus of different UK universities. When this performance by The Police was filmed, they had released one album and four singles, and they were about to begin their first North American concert tour a few days later. One of their biggest early hits, (a number #1 chart hit in the UK, and #2 in Canada), is performed live here for the first time.

Watch online and/or download. See post #3,069 for download instructions. The file is large, (about 700 MB), so it may take up to several minutes for the video preview to load.
