I think I have almost all of his music over the years. At age 79, (same age as me, but I am better looking, LOL). He recently recorded a new album but I have not heard it. IMO, he has been among the best song writers, particularly if you enjoy his style of music which I always have. In his younger days he was a big time womanizer, married three times but couldn't stop trying to screw every woman he met. Of all the great songs that he wrote of which many other singers recorded such as Ribbon Of Darkness, sung by Marty Robbins, his song titled The Last Time I saw Her Face was one that has always stuck in my mind, was about his mother who died at a very young age.if any of you lost a loved one and listened to this song and you don't shed a tear, then you are not human.
im not sure if this song has been posted here................it was accused of having obscene lyrics, but that was the 60,s..............a book was written about this song.........anyway its a harmless song about a sailor missing his girl
Waylon Jennings and Buddy Holly. The last tour I guess. Nice picture of Buddy Holly being casual. Waylon looked like a bit of a shit kicker even back then.
