. Rompin Ronnie Hawkins had a great hit in his cover, Hey Bo Diddley. Many artists copied Bo Diddley's unique guitar style. My favourite of his was Who Do You Love. Interestingly, his real name was Ellas Otha Bates. No idea how he chose Bo Diddley as his name. I saw Ronnie Hawkins perform at the old Crang Plaza, Jane and Wilson where he sang some of Bo's songs in the mid 1950s. Can't believe he is still alive at 85. Although he was originally from Arkansas, I think he lives in Canada near Peterborough.
