Mystery Train - Elvis Presley (also Junior Walker)

(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66 - so many versions, I like Nat King Cole's

Drive My Car - Beatles

The Long and Winding Roaf - Beatles

Road to Nowhere - Talking Heads

Keep on Moving - Bob Marley (UB40 cover)

Stickshifts and Safetybelts - Cake

Stickshifts and safetybelts,
Bucket seats have all got to go.
When we’re driving in the car,
It makes my baby seem so far.
I need you here with me,
Not way over in a bucket seat.
I need you to be here with me,
Not way over in a bucket seat.

But when we’re driving in my malibu,
It’s easy to get right next to you.
I say, ’baby, scoot over, please.’
And then she’s right there next to me.
I need you here with me,
Not way over in a bucket seat.
I need you to be here with me,
Not way over in a bucket seat.

Well a lot of good cars are japanese.
But when we’re driving far,
I need my baby,
I need my baby next to me.

Well, stickshifts and safetybelts,
Bucket seats have all got to go.
When we’re driving in the car,
It makes my baby seem so far.
I need you here with me,
Not way over in a bucket seat.
I need you to be here with me,
Not way over in a bucket seat.

I think I'm up to at least two cd's or a big junk of the old ipod! It is going to take awhile to download all these songs. Great lists!

Another one I thought of...

Little Blue Scoop? Little Deuce Scoop? Beach Boys

Personally I think almost anything by the Beach Boys or by Bruce Springsteen should automatically be added to the list.

1. Killing in the Name Of - Rage Against the Machine
(don't play this if your windows are open and there are cops around  ...)

2. Soundtrack from the Quake II computer game (old but great)

3. Into the Void - Nine Inch Nails
