Basically, BBBJ ISN'T NO RISK, but it is low risk. The 'big ones' to primarily worry about are: herpes, hepatitis, hpv (which you probably already have, it's common) none of which are curable, all of which are 'manageable' but highly catchable. Most of the other bacteria, viruses, and parasites pose more of a social risk, than a risk to your life. HIV is possible, but you'd have to be exceedingly unlucky.

I'm going to help you out: risk of a bbj includes herpes, syphilis and gonorrhea. There is also a low, but possible risk of HIV. The risks increase if there are open sores in the mouth, if there has been recent trauma to the gums from toothbrushing or flossing. It goes without saying that if either the sucker or the suckee have an infection, risks increase exponentially.
I used to have the same worries as you do. Long story short, the risk is there, but low. If you want avoid the possibility of getting infected, get a regular partner. Go with well-reviews agencies or independent,because girls work there usually take good care of themselve. Judging by the number of BBJ's going around these days and unless Fred is censoring STI reports (I don't know - Fred do you censor STI reports?) the risk is pretty low. Catching hepatitis C from a bbbj would be a rare occurrence, indeed! Also, immunization for Hep A and B are available, and anyone who doesn't have their shots would do well to get them: especially if they hobby, or are a SP.
The risk from a BBBJ is only marginally less than the risk of "regular"sex. Anal sex ups the risk.
