Well Body Rub parlours and some holistics are inspected once a month by the city. I can speak for myself only but there is no way I cld get away with hiring an unlicensed Attendant. I support the regular by-law inspections, where not only the licences are checked but also officers communicate with ladies to make sure everybody is there on their own will. And I do hope this system never changes!
Although I would like to believe that by-law inspection makes sure that every person is there on their own free will, a by-law inspector is hardly qualified to weed through the good bad and ugly. I will also say even a co-worker has no clue. Of course I am at a loss to put forward a foolproof method. Like drugs, full prostitution it is the nature of the beast.

i just had a very interesting conversation today with an ex-MPA. She said that every girls she's worked with has been in the biz because of her own choice. As the convo progressed, let's just its easy to distinguish at the extremes, but there are many shades of grey. I'm not sure that it's appropriate to say that only the extremes matter.

I fail to understand how in anyway a customer should involve themselves in a situation of underage, abuse or forced work at a licensed establishment. For that matter, aside from a condo or such, involve themselves with business license. Of course you could be faced with a situation and you choose whether to get involved or not, in my case LE warned me if I got involved too much with the males involved I could find myself in harms way ( I didn't even blink ).
So to the OP, if you are visiting a licensed establishment you should have a reasonable expectation that the girls are there because they want to be and are of age. If you are visiting a spa where extras are common, the likelyhood of LE activity increases, to what degree, I can't say.

My point is that "want to be [there]" is often more subtle than situations where a girl is trafficked or explicitly threatened so as to coerce her to work.

Consider domestic abuse. Physical violence is easy to identify. Psychological violence...less so. I've known incredible, kind-hearted ladies who worked because they needed to support deadbeat SOs (not disabled guys; just lazy guys). One in particular stands out in my mind - a mature EE who held a good-paying clerking position at a seven sister firm. She worked 2 or 3 shifts a week on the side at second tier MPs to make ends meet because her husband couldn't find work in his chosen profession and refused to take a lesser job in the new country. My friend said that that is itself a choice. It's her own choice. I suppose I have to agree, but it my mind, that's not the same as a girl who chooses to work to pay for her post-grad or buy a new Audi.

Anyhow, just something that crosses my mind whenever the discussion turns to whether girls are voluntarily in the biz.

Many bylaw officers question the girls about their free-will. Also, morality police come by to check on the girls as well, & their only job is rescue, so they are vigilant about ensuring everyone is of-age, of free-will, and licensed.

Ask your average person if they would quit their job if they won a hundred million dollars. A very large percentage would meaning......

a very large percentage are working in order to make ends meet whether they are government bureaucrats that hate their job od guys working in a sewer. There are plenty od people working at Wal-Mart because of deadbeat husbands. And every MPA could work at Wal-Mart as well, but they CHOOSE to make more money as MPA's. Plus cash payments are harder for the tax man to track.

Simple isn't it.

Like I said, it isn't a clear distinction. I wouldn't look any more kindly on a deadbeat whose SO pulls double shifts at Wal-Mart either.

Ultimately you vote with your dollars. For example I'd prefer to go to a licensed MP that hires employees who work there willingly, rather than say, AMPs and risk giving money to traffickers.
