Danny, stop wriggling around. You made a point that Sub Saharan Africa was equivalent in places socially and politically to Medieval Europe. I pointed out that was no longer the case by the 1800's and Europe had moved ahead. You then stated that I must mean in military technology and I responded that it had also developed socio-politically.

Now you are trying to move the goal posts.
Nah, I am simply pushing back on your implied message, expressed in so very elegant and politically correct language, that colonization was a gift from the British to the African people.

Little bit of ego talking there huh? lol
Nobody will care, believe me.
That is not how I mean it. I know no one will care. I don’t care about that. I am saying what I will remember and I will remember coming to TERB, searching for, looking hard and seeing no other threads about it, I will remember therefore posting first.

Like seriously, if it wasn’t me, it would be someone else And someone else did and it got merged here. I will probably remember that too. Because it was the flow of events that happened that day.

I’m stating a fact pertinent to me and my memory. So please, by all means, take the apparent ego you think you saw right out of the equation because there is none there.

I don’t care that I posted first, I will just remember that I did. Someone said no one will remember what they were doing. I explained how I will

Maybe don’t be so negative and suspicious all the time and you will see things for what they really are.

What I abhor is the institution of Monarchy.

In my younger years, I met the queen of Denmark, who is an accomplished women, and who ironically could have done well on her own facilities.

It never fails to puzzle me that most people want somebody and their extensive brood to live in object luxury for no other reason than their birth canal, and that they are delighted to pay for this whole circus. The excuses they come up with for it are hilarious.
Yes I know you hate monarchy, I don't care of having them here in Canada myself. But the Brits seem to like them and vomiting a whole bunch of negative comments on one of the most beloved Queen and human beings is luck luster IMHO, but go ahead, we're in a free country.

Why should anyone avoid these threads ? Is it because you don't like the responses ?
He's free not to like them, I don't care for them here in Canada but she's very well loved around the world and snide comments on her death are in poor taste. (Imho)

Beloved to you does not equate to beloved in other countries. Scars never heal, they remain forever.
Along with all the glowing compliments, lets accept negative comments as well to keep it fair and balanced.

You are being disingenuous (and I am being generous). In contrast to most here, I have never rejoiced in anybody's death, and I have not expressed - or in your word vomited - any negative comments about Liz.

I have merely expressed that it would be a great occasion to end the institution of the monarchy in Canada, and elect a Canadian as head of state.

You can stick your hyperbole up your behind.

Yes I did, evidently you read what you liked and skipped the rest. No worries. You have fellow sympathizers.
Good contribution

Biggest con job ever created. Yet most countries had them. I am also mystified by the love and affection for a bunch of inbred rulers who wouldn't piss on you if you were lying in the gutter on fire, who's cradle to grave coddling generation to generation is unquestioningly propped up by adoring proles who will fight their wars, feed them and house them, clean up their shit and bestow a lifelong holiday cruise for them and their progeny.

Sure Bitter Boy lots of class:

"The monarchists will miss licking her behind on the stamps."

"It is a great lesson: make sure to emerge from the vagina of a queen."

"It really shows the mindset of the aristocracy"

William the Conqueror took England in 1066 and separated it from the Scandinavian world and made it part of the French-speaking world for 300 years. But Liz's ancestors came from Hanover, in Germany in 1715.
1230 Tsar_Nicholas_II_&_King_George_V-min.jpg

Back in the day, the royals of Europe intermarried freely. George V of Britain and Tsar Nicholas of Russia looked like twins in the above picture. In fact, they were first cousins, both being grandchildren of Queen Victoria. Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany was also their first cousin. (It did not prevent them from fighting during the 1st World War). To say, therefore, Liz's ancestors came from Hanover, as if she was not British, is woefully misleading.

Yes, William the Conqueror took England in 1066. But King Athelstan was the first to defeat the Vikings in a major battle in 937. And it was their successors who built Great Britain, which is how King Charles III came to be. Some may see the Royal Family as freeloaders. But there would be no Great Britain without them.

So you were unable to find any negative comment I vomited about Liz.

You do not understand the difference between being against the monarchy and hating the person who was Liz.
I don't quite know what to call that, oh now I know. It is dumb.

Actually, the worst that can happen for anti-monarcy people is when a likeable and intelligent person inhabits the throne. We like much more somebody like Chuck III.
