Peter was a very good hockey player and an excellent color commentator. As soon as he retired from playing for the New Jersey Devils he was hired as a color analyst by the team. He became the voice of Colorado Avalanche hockey since their inaugural season in 1995-96 and stayed in that role until his death. He got to see them win 3 cups. Hockey was in his blood. His dad Max was a player, coach and GM and his brother David spent 43 years as an NHL scout & as an executive for Anaheim for 28 years before retiring last year. RIP.
