Friend of mine got an extra job on one of the films mentioned here being shot in Toronto. His first job in the industry.

A guy was flubbing his lines so Jewison asked my buddy if he could give it ago. Was two lines but upgraded his Actra status.

He nails it and goes on to have a 25 year career as a stuntman/actor.

15 years after his initial break he's working on an film with Jewison and made apoint to tell him what he had done for him.

He said he always wanted to tell him....Now he's glad he did.

Bottom line is you just never know when providence comes knocking.
