Who knows. In general CNN is very popular with more left leaners and over time more right leaners don't like watching it. Otherwise, I think that they are prospering on several levels.
Watched a few of his interviews back in the day but was never a big follower. He did come from a time when the media reports were more based on facts and actual events as opposed to partisan politics, cheer leading and speculation.

CNN and Fox news both support opposing views and have played a major role in why America is divided. Do not be fooled as to how powerful the main stream media can influence society.

And that same media influence is also present in sweet old Canada. Partisan politics and division are a good source of food needed to feed those media machines.

They have a lot of opinion, but what they report as actual events are factual. That is why FOX's rep has slid with their bad reporting and CNN has lots of cred. This is due to them being more accurate.

Aside from your personal opinion, what objective metrics are there to say that CNN has been declining since Larry King left. Viewership, ratings, financially?
Comparing a network's news coverage to FOX news is setting the bar as low as possible. I could look like Pope John Paul II if I compare myself to Charles Manson.
My comment regarding CNN's decline was strictly qualitative, not quantitative. I'm simply disappointed as to how much personal judgement they add to what they are reporting, particularly political issues. I don't recall Walter Cronkite showing a clip of a President Nixon speech and then looking at the camera, shaking his head, and saying "what a piece crap".
