The singer/song writer has passed at 78. He wrote/ co wrote for the Eagles: New Kid in Town, Heart Ache Tonight, Best Of My Love.

He had 2 major hits he recorded himself , "You're Only Lonely and "Her Town Too" a duet with James Taylor.

Also a member of Souther, Hillman Furay, another melding of Buffalo Springfield, Poco, Burrito Brothers and the Byrds.

I heard that the other day on Sirius/XM. Sad news. RIP. I love the song "Her Town Too"

The late 60's early 70's had a ream of great singer songwriters, and he was just about top o that pile.

Sad part is that was about 55 years ago, so that whole pile is getting smaller at time marches on.
