WWE is sad to report that Chris Benoit and his family have been found dead in their home. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Tonight's Raw will be a tribute to Chris and his family.

WOW!!!! thats big news. I send my condolences to him and his family. This guy was a true wrestler, you never heard anything bad about him, he would even take one for the team { a loss}. I think he is the only to hold all championship belts including the ECW belt. RIP you will be remember for your greatness

What the fuck! He was a young class guy.

I mostly hate the current product but I would stop channel surfing to watch a Beniot match,

Was he still married to "Woman" of WCW and ex of Kevin Sullivan?

I can't believe this. Absolutely shocked.

Was he still married to "Woman" of WCW and ex of Kevin Sullivan?
Yes. Apparently Sullivan was an abusive nutcase, and from all accounts she became a much friendlier, happier person after getting away from him and marrying Benoit.

You hate to speculate, but murder/suicide is the first thing you think of when you hear about something like this. It's really a shame, especially because their kid was killed as well.

Benoit was scheduled to wrestle last night, but had to leave beforehand due to a "family emergency". This is just unbelievable.

I wonder if WWE's scumbag owner will show up onscreen to pay tribute tonight, or is he too concerned about his own phony death storyline?

It would break up the believable story line that he is dead.

With the nonsense these guys at WWE pull, i.e. Mcmahon's demise, the lines between fact and fiction are blurred to say the least. Didn't they pull something like that a few years ago with the Undertakers wife? Who knows if its true.

It isn't an angle.

On another board it was mentioned that his wife called him to tell him that her and their son were both coughing up blood. WTF??? Carbon monoxide poisoning?

MORE ON CHRIS BENOIT'S PASSING; INDUSTRY BEGINS TO OFFER CONDOLENCES PUBLICLY
by Mike Johnson @ 7:10:00 PM on 6/25/2007

According to several sources, Chris Benoit's last known contact with World Wrestling Entertainment was this past Saturday, when he informed the company he was flying home from Texas due to an illness in the family.

The wrestling community has begun to post messages of condolences in the passing of Chris Benoit and his family.

TNA Wrestling posted the following message on their website, www.TNAWrestling.com:

TNA MOURNS THE LOSS OF CHRIS BENOIT

Everyone in the TNA family joins the entire wrestling world in mourning the untimely passing of Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy and their son Daniel.

Many TNA staff and stars worked closely with Chris throughout his career and we are all shocked and saddened to lose a friend and legendary competitor. Benoit was considered a consummate professional both in and out of the ring.

As details develop, those who knew and admired Chris are shocked and saddened to hear of he and his family's untimely passing.

Please keep Chris and the Benoit family in your thoughts and prayers during this time of tragedy.

To my friend Chris Benoit R.I.P.

I was sitting here at my computer when I got a call informing me of the death of Chris Benoit and his family. Other than saying that my thoughts go out to to his remaining family, I don't know what to say. Chris had just called me on Thursday to check on me as he has every week since my surgery and now days later I find out that he's gone. He was my friend. This hurts! This f**ing sucks!!!! Rest in peace my friend! Love you!

I don't think TNA would be posting anything if it was a WWE angle.

So far I haven't found anything on this, this is a very sleazy work if it is indeed one.

I stopped watching wrestling after Eddie Guerrero died; Eddie was Chris Benoit's best friend and his passing had a profound effect on Benoit.

Wrestlers are easy marks, that's how someone as unscrupilous as Vince MacMahon becomes a billionaire. Unless wrestlers form a union and start looking after their interests better the body count will continue unabated.
