Actor/comedian , Bob Newhart has passed at 94. He was best known for his sitcoms, The Bob Newhart Show and Newhart
His trademark was his deadpan and stuttering delivery of his lines
Loved all of Bob Newhart's work. His comedy album The Button - Down Mind of Bob Newhart is the only Comedy album to win the Grammy for Album of the Year, beating out Frank Sinatra, Harry Belafonte and Nat "King" Cole
The ending of the show "Newhart" is considered one of the best if not the best ending to a show.

To be honest I didn't know he was still alive. Funny man. I was a little too young when the Bob Newhart Show aired but I watched Newhart during the 80's. His episodes as Professor Proton on BBT are some of the best episodes of that series. I didn't know he won an Emmy for that.

RIP

Bought his albums when I was around 14. Back in the sixties. Seemed to embody the optimistic, post war hip and sophisticated America. To me.
Loved his show as a Chicago Psychologist. Same era as Mary Tyler Moore show. Better days. Except for Vietnam.....
RIP.

The finale of his second sitcom is one of the greatest endings ever.

He was truly a legend. Loved his show as a psychologist and the recurring casts of characters. Once sat next to Jerry the dentist on a flight. (Peter Bonerz, who was directing TV shows at the time). Nice bloke. Great show. Great, clean comedy.

Man that just never gets old, lol....What a fantastic ending to a great show.

In his sitcoms his wives (Mary Frann and Suzanne Pleshette) were uber hot!...Gave the rest of us some hope.

I remember in his standup routine he would use a telephone prop and you could only hear one side of the conversation.

Hilarious stuff....Fortunately for younger generations there is video available where they can view his comedic genius.
