My favorite and I have been "researching" beer lately, and so far our number one is still Heineken. She speculated that there must be some special ingredient in it. I posed the ridiculous question "If you found out that the special ingredient is pee, would you still drink it?" She initially rejected the premise, but after I pressed her the answer was a strong no. Side note, my second favorite is Double Diamond Lager, but I have not been able to find it here for years.
I was reminded today about an old B movie that I really enjoyed: A Boy and His Dog
. As a dog owner I can relate to the true love and loyalty we have for our best friends, and they have for us. At one point in this post-apocalyptic nightmare our hero, his dog and his girlfriend are starving and are out of options: two of them are forced to eat the other or they will all die. An awkward moment of silence, and the dog dreads what he sees as inevitable. Spoiler alert: the next scene is the boy and his dog licking their lips, quite satisfied after feasting on the GF. I loved it! I hate to say it but it would be a difficult choice for me.
An old ridiculous question: is it better to die from fire or freezing to death. Both are horrible, nightmare stuff. Neither choice is good.
I invite your ridiculous questions here. One more: the love of your life develops enormous compassion for animals and will no longer tolerate you eating meat, which you love. Do you stay with her?
