I had a 2 hour appointment scheduled and she confirmed and didn't answer. No explanation, zip nadda zilch. Wouldn't have minded if there was at least an excuse but no explanation whatsoever.

Actually this is what happened:

She called me and told me she was sick and asked if I could cancel her evening appointments for her. This was at 6:08-which at that time Limpet had not yet arrived. Or if he had she did not hear him at the door.

I told her that she would have to speak to her 6pm because he should be there any minute.

She does not have computer access so she has not been able to respond to this thread. I think it is a huge shame that you guys are being jerks.

I also find it interesting that Mr. Limpets appointment was at 6:00-he says he drove "Drive all the way downtown and knock on the door precisely on time and no answer". Now call me crazy but home to write on terb by 6:25??? I can't imagine you stayed long enough to knock more than once on the door.

Being stood up sucks. No matter what the situation. Sometimes it does happen though, life happens and sometimes you cannot make appointments. We are together again tomorrow at which time she planned to contact Limpet.

Making broad sweeping generalizations about "immature part time novice sp's" is uncalled for. Perhaps rather then flaming the girl someone could say, gee...I hope everything is alright.

What BS. I was there at 6 period! Knocked, phoned and phoned room from lobby and no answers. She can't pick up a phone? Doesn't have a cell on her to return calls? Give me a break.

Believe what you wish. I am not disputing that you were there a 6pm, simply stating that maybe she wasn't able to answer the door or phone because she was in the bathroom sick. She says that she thought you didn't show, otherwise she would have explained to you that she was ill and could not keep the appointment.

Take a pill. I wasn't flaming you, I was just giving my two cents on her personality. She doesn't seem the type to just blow an appointment unless something was seriously wrong. That's it...that's all.

I can relate to...

..and have considerable sympathy for anyone who has been stood up, especially with no (or delayed) communication. It has happened to me more times than I can count, AND its a pain in hobbying, business or any part of life.

I have been just as angry and frustrated as Mr L, but I have learned to bottle it in until I can get the facts. And I do worry, 'cause often enough I do hear bad shit, though most often its communication breakdown (electronic or otherwise).

Princess, I know you are intent on defending LL, but I do not think Mr L has been out of line. HE didnt make any accusations- just stated the facts with obvious frustration. It is unusual that she doesnt have a Canadian cell etc, and you helping her with work is great, but its hard to do when she is there (no PC) and you are here. Unfortunately JPSoHot's comments might fit a lot of situations, but since they are just generic remarks no need to take them to heart.

I hope she is all better for her sake AND mine!

Or even better apologize for standing him up. The reason offered is that she does not have a PC and has a cell that does not work in Canada (strange for the business she is in). Let me be perfectly clear, after knocking a number of times I next used my cell to call the number on her EC Ad. I then gave my cell number for her to call me. I also called the room from the lobby. How hard would it have been to at least pick up the phone....

Since the "maid make up room sign was on the door when I arrived (at precisely 6 PM) I suspect that there was nobody there.

It's one thing to cancel when you haven't given the location and room number - those cancellations I agree part of the nature of the beast.. It's totally different to blow someone off (no pun intended) after confirming and giving the address!

How would you like it if I wsted you time booking appointments and not showing up?
