I asked her about her special winter rates and she told me 240h. So wonder what would be her regular rate? I didn't bother booking. I hate merchants (including SPs) who advertise bullshit specials, so I passed.

She is new"er", and may just be trying to find the right rate for her service to match a steady enough clientele for her situation.

I don't think she's being sneaky. I think she's trying to find a price point. I was quite happy with the service but I'm not sure I'd go higher than the $240 mark which is what I dished out.

Thats correct - she was pushing higher rate and I asked if she was trying to do that because she wanted to attract a different clientele, or wanted few appointments. I told her what the "market" rates are for her level of service etc so she decided to try using the "special" as a marketing idea. I suspect she will evolve to this as a regular rate.
