Le Scratch

Go north on Park Rd. and make a right on the I believe 3rd set of lights. Street I think is called Gibb St. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong. Look on the left side for a mall and you will see LeScratch. Difference between Excuses and LeScratch. LeScratch is a younger crowd, tons of pool tables, various bars and djs throughout the place, alot bigger as well.

Le Scratch is quite a spread, I might drop in tonight to see how busy it gets on the weekend. Excuses wasn't packed Thursday night.

Been to Big Sexy on Saturday night, not bad, cheap beer before 11. Lava ok. Both a 20 something crowd. I noticed a few more clubs in Whitby that look interesting, forget the names.

Go West on the 401

Looking for places in Durham or close to the border

Try the Harp and Crown at K/R and Altona on the weekend. Good crowds and good bands.

On Island Rd near Port Union - The Black Dog on thursday. Good bands and a great crowd. Major cougar bar.

Hilltop..............NEW--at old Tanglewood Erotica

Just enjoyed some new fine dining. East of Oshawa townline in Courtice at 1540 King Street East

Hobbiest will remember the building for the special erotic moments in the basement...of the Tanglewood. Part of the lure of Oshawa or the degression.

However, the restaurant is a wonderful addition to dining in the Durham region and they have completely remodelled the building.

Steak for two with wine was around $60-$70. Enjoyed the personal touch as family owned...think they were former owners of Barnabys. They greet you and wife came to door to say goodbye and thanked us for coming. Nice touch.

I had a nice private table in back room...but noticed even a nicer VIP table for private moments with someone special or business meeting.

Give it a try...If you are alone, later you can drive back towards Oshawa and behind the new Wimpy burger beside Swiss Chalet is a MP...that has been reviewed on here.
