I didn't bring up the word. If she referenced racial slurs, I would have responded as such. However she got very particular with her example, so did I.

or are you one of those people who think there is a real difference between F*uck and Fuck. I don't. Or when movies on TV bleep out swear words in such a way that even a 6 year old can tell exactly what was originally said.

Anyways, not as if the word hasn't been used many times and many ways on terb often derogatory. Likewise there are too many posts to count where the spirit was alive even if the terminology was ahem... correct.

And while I am at it. If it is acceptable to tell a racist joke, how is it not acceptable to use a slur in that joke. If the joke is not suitable, than the use of terminology should not make a difference.

However it won't be my problem for much longer. I've put in a request for account deletion. This post and all my other ones should be zapped by Monday I guess, if not sooner.

Well there is a racial stereotype if I have ever seen one. The angry black man as savage who communicates with violence instead of words. Yet I am the racist. In my experience, the very very few times in real life when someone objects, and it is brutally rare, people use their words. I would expect large black men to react the same. However I am not a racist. A joke is a joke, much like a cigar is a cigar. I'd guess outside of a womyns studies department and other folk, the vast vast majority of people tell and enjoy racist jokes on occasion and the vast majority of them mean nothing by it. At least that has been my experience in the 4 decades on this planet. Look how popular Jeff Foxworthy is, pure racism towards the redneck population.

I am sure that angry black man you would have beat me up tells plenty of cracker jokes. Once you go white, there is a trailer park in sight.

It is no different from busting your friend's balls over something stupid he did. You don't hate the guy, just having a larf.

Toss in dealing with people who bother me with their derpiness, example, people in this thread who don't understand context.

I agree with the derpness. The inability of some members to grasp the simplest points gets very frustrating. Good luck where ever you move onto.

I enjoyed the comedic stylings of Andrew Dice Clay [who went after everyone but the blacks because he was a pussy] in my 20's as sadly I discovered him late.
I enjoy Sarah Silverman and her jokes about how being a jew raped by a doctor is bittersweet because on one hand rape, on the other, a doctor and one of her gags actually ends with "I hope they find sperm in my dead grandmother's vagina".
Then there is Jon Lajoie, who tells jokes about kicking terminally ill children in the face, but at least he doesn't enjoy Maroon 5, that would be sick.

That being said, I suspect that GG went beyond trying to be funny to trying to piss people off. Just the vibe there.

But yeah, if it is a joke, and easily understood to be such, pretty much anything goes with very limited exceptions. At least in my opinion.
