I need to replace the glass screen on a Samsung S6. I called a few places and they were asking as much as $200. Would anyone know a reputable repair place that charges less than that?

Thanks.

I heard pacific mall is the place to go, and if you're lucky you might get your manicure with HE while you wait for repairs.

Can you see anything on the display? If not, then the whole glass and video display has to be replaced. There is an extended warranty that covers breakage for any cause for less than $10 per month, and has over the counter exchange.

I don't have the warranty. The screen is fine, it is just the external glass that is broken and needs to be replaced.

The best price I found so far was $160 for just the glass. They checked the screen and it is not damaged, it seems like some others might be pricing both the screen and the glass.

There is a place called Toronto Repair.

http://www.torontorepair.com/

Only problem is that it's in Scarborough, across from Pacific mall. Whatever you do, do not go to Pacific mall to get it fixed. I've heard many horror stories of botched repairs. Try the Red Flag Deals forum. They usually have a lot of reviews for these repair places.

I used this place to replace the screen on an S3, seemed reasonable. Samsung gave us the name and address. They went through the "risks" (not 100% water resistent, could have ended up with a mark on the screen from the heat used) and explained everything they were going to do in detail.

I called a few places before going here, these guys seemed to know the most about replacement of glass when I spoke to them.

They have a location near Yorkdale and a few others in the GTA

Good luck

There's a tiny store at Parliament & Gerrard called "Business plus Wireless", his prices are usually half what other places charge because he has almost no overhead costs:

You should also get a protective screen cover to prevent future breakage

Call Ming @ Ming Wireless - University & Dundas, ask what they charge.

Honest people, good service. But they do get very busy.

Eddy at Toronto Repair in Scarborough is the best in city for fixing broken glass on phones, ipads etc.
Call him at 647-700-6688.
Even if you don't want to go to Scarborough he might tell you the best place to go to downtown.
He knows everything. He's a genius. Very friendly too.

Thanks again to all, I will be offline for a few days so don't think I am ungrateful if anyone else posts in here in the meantime.
