Good example, I agree totally. I wanted to see Gustavsson remain in the net when Reimer came off the IR and even would have preferred Reimer go to the Marlies for two or three starts. Problem now is I am not sure if Gustavsson would still be in the zone.I agree with BW's statement above. A good coach would have chosen to ride the hot (not necessarily better) goalie until he cools.
The Leafs may have had a few more wins which would have put them up on a higher perch.
When Gustavsson does cool down, Riemer wil be better prepared to step back in as their No. 1. (Not sure why Wilson needs to force the issue here).
Example: When Bobby Lou was injured earlier this season, Schneider got hot. When Bobby Lou was healthy, Vigneault continued to start Schneider until he cooled.
Now, all that said I do not think Reimer is playing that bad.
