I guess I'm pretty happy with LL because I was never really good at meeting women in bars (i.e. zero luck in the pick up scene) and with LL I've had a good number of dates so in my mind a bunch of dates (can't count them all as some were very forgettable) is infinitely better than no dates.

Can't argue with that.

Not saying LL doesn't work, cause it does. I used the old TP / Casual Encounters with great sucess in the past, but last time I checked, they had merged the two together, added in Hamilton and even Buffalo and the numbers of chicks was low.

I guess the Internet has killed the old telephone thing.

To be blunt: I've probably spent, oh, $2000.00 total on all the dating sites I've belonged to and met probably 30 women. One of which I flew to FLA to meet who ended up a) not returning my phone calls when I arrived at the hotel and b) forgot she gave me her address so I could send her flowers on valentine's day and c) was 100 lbs overweight and not even the same woman in her profile. (that trip alone cost me almost a grand).

Suffice to say I have had zero luck in meeting anyone of substance online and frankly, that's why I hobby now. Much more bang for my buck....

Have a good pic of yourself. Do a good job of selling yourself in your profile. Highlight what makes you unique interesting and why a woman might want to be with you. Be proactive, search for women with new profiles and e-mail them ASAP. Make sure you write a nice e-mail that shows you were reading their profile and of course refrain from coming across as a perv.

But really is any of that info any different than how you would approach a woman in person?

Yeah I read an article in the star a while ago talking about the rising number of women that are not marrying or raising children alone. I think it's more complex than not just settling.

For example, I'll admit that if I hear a woman has been divorced or has children I am less likely to be interested. And I'm sure there are many guys out there that feel the same way.

Also, a lot more women are becoming professionals and are spending more time on their careers.

Yes some women are probably holding out and hoping for a prince. But that's no different than all those guys holding out for a dancer, MPA or SP.

Finally with the invention of the rabbit and more women making decent money as compared to the past a man is pretty much obselete (spelling?!!?).

Now it all makes sense, there actually are no women on internet dating sites, just men, and recon profiles. I have never tried internet dating, a buddy of mine runs some dating sites, it is just too horrific to contemplate. He has had a bunch people getting married and things from his sites, but they are more niche sites.

I think that women chosing to stay single is similar to single guys who choose to hobby instead. Dating allows / forces you to realize what you deserve. Once you know what you deserve, your choices are to be single, or to live with a spouse you deserve, which can be pretty humbling and unpleasant. Or you could improve yourself and hence deserve better, I don't know if that really ever happens much.

I say all the time: When women state that "they won't settle" they are applauded, but when us guys want "an attractive model type with a nice body" we're called being too picky.

Women in North America are taught that they 'deserve' the best, from movies, romance novels, tv, media, magazines etc. IMHO if you want the best you have to BE the best yourself. Yet even if they are 200 lbs, an IQ of a turnip, have 4 kids from 3 different fathers, been married 5 times, and work as a fry girl at McD's they "think" they deserve (as stated) JFK junior...
