I've borrowed my sister's digital camera. How do I dump the photos onto my HD? I have the USB cable. Is there special software I need?

Thanks,

SQ

...you need the drivers.

Do a "Google" search using the camera's brand name and model number, and you should find their website. There you will also find the drivers that you can download to your PC.

Will need a driver if you have an older version of windows. The newer versions of windows are often compatible the camera's memory storage.

Plug the camera into the computer and test it. If you see a new drive show up in Windows Explorer then you are set. Use Windows Explorer to move the files around.

My computer simply treatst the camera as a removable storage device ie memory stick.

Good Question superquad1968.

This should be a sticky! MAKE SURE YOU GET RID OF ALL THE AMATEUR PORN BEFORE RETURNING A DIGITAL CAMERA BACK TO THE OWNER.
OK. They're not that bad. I made sure to download all the photos of missing Goober and Shiek together having wild man-love.

These are just pictures of my niece and nephew. :)
