Apparently was a very popular member of the organization. He wasn't much of a hitter when he played pro but the Rays were really impressed with his defensive abilities and knowledge, so they hired him for the bullpen.

Reports are saying it was a suicide. It came as a shock to his family and friends who didn't see the signs at all. Very sad because he seemed to be enjoying his position with the Rays. He was a valued member of the team. Since this pandemic started suicides are way up. We have a mental health tsunami on the horizon.
