As a Knicks fan, I would hate to see a Thomas for Peterson trade. Thomas is griping now, because he has lost his starting job to McDyess, but he is a hard worker, and capable of putting up 15/10 points/rebounds per game. I don't like the trade because I think Peterson is a one dimensional player. The Knicks are already a jump shooting team, and don't need another spot up jump shooter. From the Raptor's perspective, Thomas isn't really a center, and he is not as good as Donyell Marshall. So what would be the point?

Peterson's main value in a trade would be his contract status, ie: expiring at the end of this season, giving the team that has him cap room to sign free agents in the off season. The problem with trading him would be in obtaining some talent in return at a comparable salary, otherwise he'd have to be bundled together with other players to make the accounting balance. He doesn't make that much as a 21st pick.

Seems like they are right back where they were before the trade. Vince just doesn't seem to want it bad enough, not at all.
That at Kevin O'Neill's rigid offense isn't very good.

The Raps need a Butch Carter without the brain farts.

what we really need is charles oakely back! his is like the ray lewis of the nba, carter is totally scared shitless of him. a trade for ron artest would do us a good as he is the closest thing to oakely now

camby who

Hey Northred; how do you see Bosh as a Camby? I think it's O'Neal all the way, he's already better than Camby.

I know that Raptors fans are still angry at Camby, and he was a great disappointment when he played for the Knicks too. But let's face facts, he always had limitations as a player. He can rebound and block shots, but he can't shoot to save his life and is injury prone on top of that.

He is reasonably healthy this year and is playing decently for the Nuggets, who might actually make the playoffs for the first time in 8 years. Of course, that is mostly because of Carmelo Anthony and Andre Miller, but I think Camby has been a decent player. He gets 9 boards a game and blocks 2-3 shots, which is pretty good. I like Bosh, but I don't think he is already better than Camby. I also think he needs to bulk up he is going to be another O'Neal, but even he winds up being another Camby, that is not too bad.
