I dislike the fact that alot of folks seem to want to trade Bosh now so we can get something for him before he leaves us next year.
This kid is just 23 yrs old, he isn't even close to reaching his prime and every year he gets better and better. Keep Bosh, Calderone and Bargnani everyone else is expendable, build around him, starting with a small forward or a player that can penetrate and create their own shots.
Sometimes the Toronto fans can be to harsh on their team, shit if it's been over 40yrs since the leafs won a cup...well then what's another few years for the Raps.

Oh my god... Lay off the haterade people! This is starting to make my blood BOIL! No more! And I'm tired of you guys crushing my spirit! :(

LOL, I should have never even clicked on this thread because I take this too seriously!

I give up... go wild! Have a field day for all I care! ... But one day, they'll show you... Don't start lining up for raptors jerseys then!

I admit I was a bit harsh, but lots of people go wild bashing the raptors.

if you say they are going to make the playoffs thats you opinion, and mine is i dont think so not the way they are going.

People will buy raptor jersey's.. , but i dont see them lining up for them the store is always open so theres no need to line up for a jersey..leafs or raps,

the raptors are liked but will always be number 2 in this Leafs crazed city

I just hope with Bargnani's emergence and Bosh shouldering less of the offensive load, he will put more energy into his defence, which IMO is where he needs to improve. The greatest bigmen have large impacts on both sides of the floor, but perhaps Bosh is limited by his relative lack of strength. Bosh will be 25 in March.

Do you really think Bosh is going to resign in 2010 given the wonderful performance of the Raptors?
I think it depends what other opportunities there are out there, whether BC can improve on his mediocre at best moves of the last few years, and whether he values money and comfort over winning. If Bosh has a chance to play with Wade or James as an example, he'd be pretty silly not to.

Thank you! Forget the technicalities of the game but Chris Bosh... or CB4 is an NBA superstar whether anyone thinks we can build the team around him or not. Ie: my younger cousins don't want to buy Calderon jerseys or Bargnani jerseys, etc... they want CB4 jerseys! If Chris Bosh leaves, I don't know if any play on the Raps even have CLOSE to as much "star power" as he does!

Think about a more agile and defensively better Dirk...that's him.
More agile, I doubt that. But bargs is looking pretty good now that Mitchell is gone.

Don't be surprised if Bosh ends up in Cleveland in '10.

I'm more certain than ever LeBron isn't leaving the Cavs.
There are a few teams that are clearing capspace for the FA class of 2010. So Bosh has a lot of better options than sticking around in Toronto.

One of those teams being the Raptors once again. If they do the matrix trade, it may limit the team to pick ONLY cb4 rather than expanding to some lebron options. Keep in mind that a lot of other very impressive all star potential ring holding players are going to be on the market.

We built vince carter. we lost him. we recovered. if we lose cb4. we have a MUCH faster chance of recovering.

I guess it depends really on the long sterm strategy. IF you want to win a championship vs if you want to go to the playoffs.

In the era where teams have a big three stars, cb, barg n jose are good but no where near the top. In addition they need better role players and a bench. If we keep bosh we wont be able to fill all these needs. = NO championship.

Yah we can recover but then we have lost a significant asset and it takes additional time to develop a star. We will need several to be a championship team.

.
Bosh also realizes chance to player with Lebron = championship plus probably an elite team for a long time. Toronto can't offer anything close to that.

There is several teams preparing capspace to the fa class of 2010. Most players don't want to come to Canada because of cold/tax issues. Therefore our chances of landing good players is pretty much lower than other US teams who can throw money around.

"Bosh also realizes chance to player with Lebron"??

Wtf are you talking about? I think you mean that Bosh could possibly sign with the same team as Lebron?? No team can afford both of them and still maintain great a solid supporting roster. This isn't a Boston Celtics scenario. All teams are gunning for one star.

We don't NEED to take additional time to develop a star.... if we lose Bosh, we can BUY one............ Toronto is going to end up paying Bosh significantly more with a large contract to make sure he stays. With so much interest in Bosh from other teams, this is like the first round of the draft all over again. We weren't in that situation before because Babcock screwed up.

You're quoting me like you want to continue 'arguing' about this and I'm sorry to say that I'm not interested in deeply conversing with someone who can't even type with proper grammatical sense. You're trying to discuss the issue of whether or not other players want to move here and taxes where as I've been talking about CB4..... Money is Money. O'neal still has 21million on his contract, and we pay him 21 million. The matrix will have another 19 million, we'll still pay him 19 million.

I'm just gona start ignoring you from now on.

Sometimes they just good to watch for 3 quarters only. It hurts to watch the 4th quarter as they are not good finishers. Always blow out their lead and lose by less than five points.
they should have a power outage for the all the home games at the end of the third quarter

yes that would be good lol

Lets face it they have to win 10 in a row just to get back to the 500 level, and they most likely will have to go 24-12 or better to make the playoffs.

Yesterday that they beat the kings a team with only 3 road wins, they should of had this one in the bag in the first half rather then coming on in the second half.

This teams problem isn't scoring its defending , it showed in the first half when the kings actually had a 5 point lead, so what's happen when they have a sluggish first half vs better team.

Last Point it was posted that the raptors dont suck vince Carter does suck(common for raptor fans to say), but yet when he hears VC SUCKS at the acc that always motivates him to beat the Raptors..go figure

dude take a chill pill. I am not trying to argue, just trying to understand your viewpoint since its different from mine. You can pay them as much money as you want but the taxes are higher in TOR.

Just when you think they may have righted the ship, they tank (as 7 pt faves) to Milwaukee.
I'm waiting for a 4 game win streak, so that I may book with Kareena while she's in a good mood. :D
