When I was young I was always being harassed by fundamentalist Christians to join their group. I even had a landlady who was more interested in me joining her church than collecting the rent. I never had the good fortune of being pressured by the cults that preach free love. I understand that the Children Of God recruited thousands in the 70's by having their womenfolk convert men through sex. The Raelians are now in the news(about 200 of them live in Toronto). An expert on cults claims that the Raelians are media hungry but are not dangerous. I assume that means that they do not employ brainwashing. They do promote free love. I know it would mean putting up with their UFO/Cloning crap, but a courageous Terbite might take one for the team and join the Raelians. He could report back about his experiences and let us know just what their womenfolk are like. Just my two cents worth.

Is it me? Or does anyone else feel that this board gets weirder every day?

Your post about a Raelian stripper intrigued me. A number of years ago (maybe 1994 -1995) I met a stripper at the Locomotion who I think used the name Diane or Diana.
I saw her a nuimber of times, and had some great conversations with her. She told me she was a Raelian and I inquired about their beliefs etc. She was a gorgeous lady with a great body - and I offered to do some photos for her. She called me several times but we could never find a time that worked for both of us. Then she disappeared.
Any chance this is the same girl you are thinking of?

From what I've read and heard of these free love cults, the free love generally involves attractive young females and ugly old Elders. A young male prospect might get a freebie, but, only with a LOT of baggage and grief attached.

I must admit that if the DNA testing reveals a genuine human clone, its a pretty neat trick.
dolly... [cloned sheep] apparently started aging prematurely and developed arthritis and a whole bunch of other problems.
what happens to the cloned child? will this kid grow up to die prematurely of progeria or other health related annoyances?
will this kid become someones lab experiment later in life?

I had the opportunity to meet up with this gentleman in the summer/fall of 97. He is an avid race car driver and was in a street stock car series that I was involved with. He was driving a Ferrari for the seires. I couldn't help but notice the young lovelies that were all around his paddock area. I was dealing with one of the teams beside his. I went over and introduced myself to him. He asked me what my part was for the series. When I told him, his eyes gleamed. A big smile came over his face, took me back to his trailer and came up with a proposal that we would both find mutually appealing.
Needless to say, I had plenty of motivation to speak to my boss and convinced him that Rael was a legitimate driver to deal with. It was a big plus that Rael was from Quebec. My boss agreed, and a friendship was born between myself and Rael.
He was very excited about the service that I was able to provide for him and I was thrilled with the idea that I would no longer be alone for the weekend at any races that we were doing in Quebec.
I didn't have to join the Raelians at all to enjoy the fruits of their beliefs. And, I enjoyed many a night conversing with some of his young followers about their religion. Ahhh youth..... I was only able to carry on this friendship for about 2 years. He made my work that I had to do for him very easy. I will never forget those times as long as I live. I love the French!!
