There was thread on this not too long ago. I used to listen to 99.9 until they changed to all dance music. 95.7 is a Barrie station that I listen to a lot. I don't know what reception would be like downtown.

What radio station do you listen to? Chum Fm has gone all rap and The mighty Q is getting boring.
I alternate between Q107 and Fan590. Depending on the time of year I tend to listen to sports or right now for instance I am 50/50.
As September gets closer I will start going back to 590 more, hockey nearing, baseball playoffs. Once the WS is over and the NHL season is about a month in I will drift back to mostly music.

Does anybody here stream music from di.fm or Last.fm on their iPhone or Windows Mobile device through their car stereo?

Sirius satellite radio. Local stations in the past couple of years have gone to shit.
[size=+2]Absolutely!!

Local Commercial radio is dead and buried. Playlists are atrocious and provide no information.

Other than satellite, plenty of on-line music to hear.

and NO commercials!!

I miss Humble and Fred, you guys are right the main stations are bull shit these days. 99.9,104.5,89.1,97.3 all suck

I am a fan of CBC radio for news and reports 99.1 from 6 to 8 pm is very good.

In Canada Sirius and XM did not merge, they are still separate companies although Sirius XM USA owns a minority of both companies. They are still competitors.

I pay $14.99 for each service which includes free internet coverage. So approx $35 a month including tax. I think most people can get by with just one of the services as the music channels are virtually identical as is 75% of the programming.

My XM is a portible so I can walk around listen and tape content from XM.

Ipod. 102.1 and Q107 at times, but both stations drive me nuts. 102.1 seems to play the same crap, over and over. I remember driving from Oshawa to Toronto, and I heard the same song 4 times. That's just stupid. The dj's, announcers, whatever, also annoy me. Q107 is a bit better. They play more music I like, and the morning announcer(derringer?) doesn't drive me as nuts. But, the one guy they have for evening or afternoon? God, I just want to shoot him. He has his own band, and that's all he seems to talk about. Not to mention, play!!! If I here the song that goes "Ain't Life Amazing" I'm gonna go down to Q, find that bastard child of a motherless buffalo, and strangle him.
I live in Peterborough now, so The Wolf is what I listen to, when the ipod is unavailable. It's okay, and the announcers, at least the ones I hear, I like.

i get a kick out of the blundell morning show on 102.1.

although they are idiots and howard stern knock-offs.

i recall in a thread some time ago someone said blundell got the job via nepotism (his father apparently owns corus radio)
