R.I.P. Buzz

Put this in the sports section but probably more appropriate here .......

Tim Kilpatrick, who has endeared himself to Ottawa sports fans as "Buzz," a morning radio host on the Team 1200, passed away this morning as a result of complications from a lung infection, CFRA reports.

Team 1200 program director Dave Mitchell said Kilpatrick was admitted to hospital last Wednesday suffering from shortness of breath. Tests revealed the infection.

Kilpatrick was part of Three Guys on the Radio (TGOR) and host of The Buzz on Junior Hockey on the Team.

There's tons of blogs, articles etc if anyone wants to search around. Stu has something in his blog on the Team1200 site, and the Team has a tribute if you go to www.team1200.com .

This was very sudden and caught most off guard. He was just 41. He'll be missed even if he was a Leafs fan. One of my favourites on the Team1200. There will be a tribute to him Monday morning on TGOR. :(

I feel awful for his family and friends. By all accounts he was a good man.

I guess this will put a stop to all of the "gay" rumours. It was getting a little out of hand. Just because he was 41 and single......

To be honest, I found his voice to be extremely irritating. I guess this development puts a stop to that too.

I think he played a good villian and I have enjoyed listening to tgor for years! I read that he told the manager that he would have been back on Wednesday, but the manager said he did not sound great and needed rest. Needing rest on Wednesday and dead on Friday, wow this can happen to any and all, at any time. RIP

Nuts! While he annoyed me to no end on TGOR, i will miss him, he was a good foil to Stu, or Stu to him...
