Hi, I was wondering if one was inclined to try out escorting, is there any major advantages to joining an agency as opposed to going it alone?

Also is safety a big issue when it comes to seeing johns? Like are the chances low that you\'ll ever meet a psycho or someone that will cause you harm? Would it be uncomfortable to the johns to have someone somewhat closeby watching over an escort?

And looks are subjective, but hypothetically speaking if you thought of yourself as very, very attractive, does it mean you can charge much more than others or abit more assuming everything else is equal? Anyways, I just wanted to try and be abit informed before doing anything and this seemed like a good place to ask. Thanks for reading. :)
If you are just starting, join an agency. This way you are able to observe and gain insight into the industry. You'll find for instance that looks are not everything. There are reputable agencies out there; all you need to do is talk to the owners and sign up with the one you feel most comfortable with. You are not obligated to stay with your choice if it turns out it is not the right one.

Worth noting that if you are set on being an independent you don't have to work through an agency for long. I bet after a month or two at one a smart girl could have it all figured out.

Angel Eyes.

You have received a lot of important information regarding your proposed entry into the world of escorting. All the information regarding safety, health, security issues, etc are very pertinent. If you choose to enter the escort world, in what ever capacity you choose, remember one thing. Customer service is always the #1 priority. You indicated you’re a good looking lady with a great body. That’s great, but many ladies with great looks and bodies have failed because of one major component. That component being the attitude. The lady must make the client feel as though he’s the most important person in the world for the time spent. My 2 cents worth.

Other shots..

Twinrix for Hep

Annual flu shots (real flu isnt a tummy issue, it can be a killer:eek: ). Even with protection, you are going to be in very close contact with a lot of people, get the shots.

Pneumonia. This isnt much publicized, but there are shots that protect against most types of pneumonia. Again, a potential killer.

HPV- If you are young enough.

Good luck.

keep in mind the business is very hard on a person, it has a lot of negative effects on a person, you meet a lot of jerks, but then you smile just to get their money,..............

next thing you wake up and wonder why your still in the business, "the money"
Does this happen to most of the girls who join in the business?

I would say it happens to every girl in escorting, stripping, and porn. it's just the nature of the business.

a lot of girls in the toronto porn industry are asking themselves those questions, and I guess reaching an ephany of wondering what do they really want to get out of the business.

Good point. I think the real question though must be what do you want to get out of life? Because I can imagine that once you have accumulated that 500G and are ready to enjoy life you notice that you have difficulties with relationships, career, family... and a sense of worthlessness. SPs correct me if I'm wrong.

I can't say that I will have a many problems with my life in the future once I stop escorting; concerning relationships/careers/family etc. [Of course, it's too early to tell since, I haven't been doing this for a long time]. I believe that if you are level-headed while entering this profession, and generally enjoy what you do, it shouldn't create any issues with future relationships. When I started, I assessed the psychological risks that are associated with this field of work and weighed the pros and cons. I can't say that everyone who starts work as a sex worker does, but I think that it is important to be inwardly reflective.

In regards to my view of this profession, Luv4lust has a wonderful quotation about this profession: being an SP isn't work it's pleasure with an allowance.... and that rings true with me too (minus the wife part! haha) I am currently enrolled in school full-time and have a part-time job that helps me stay grounded. I have goals and aspirations apart from enjoying myself in the present; and those goals and present achievements help me stay grounded along with the support of a few friends that know what I do. Why would I feel worthless about what I do, if I enjoy it and it helps me achieve other goals that I have in life?

If I start to let the social mores and values affect my way of living, then of course I will be affected. Focusing on what society says about sex workers and the negative views that are often attributed with this line of work is what can keep people down, and can make an SP become jaded. The fact that you may end up hearing the same thing day in and day out can also make an SP feel as though she cannot trust what is being said to her. The lying and the secrecy that comes with this profession and the fact that an SP may not have a support group, with whom they can be completely honest about what they do can also make an SP/former SP have problems with relationships and family -- and that is to be expected.

I truly cannot say what is going to happen in the future, and if my feelings about this profession are going to change the longer that I am doing this. I do know that myself and others that are watching out for me, and worried that I may let this profession "change" me. I know that once I start to feel "burnt out", I have other venues through which I can "recharge" and stay grounded. It is very important to have a life outside of escorting, because if you don't - it is that much easier to feel worthless once that world disappears once you stop working.

it's really amazing how these elite girls can fool their regulars into thinking they're having a good time

Ever wonder why drinking and drugs are a problem with SOME escorts ? keep in mind I said some !

and the fact they hide it very well or the regulars just close their eyes to it, after developing a relationship of sorts, they dont want to ruin the fantasy.

Thanks again!

Thankyou again for everyone\'s advice. :)

And yes I get that service and attitude is key, but I think I\'ll be fine there. Now if only there was a Robert Redford out there willing to dish out a million for a night........ :p

Wow! You are more ambitious than that other lady who charges $1,000 a pop. Didn't Demi Moore already claimed that $1MM from Robby Red?
