Ok, so i went to the doctor today to get a lump on my left testicle checked out. He's convinced it's only a cyst, but i'll be going for x-rays on the 17th.

That said, i also asked him about another issue regarding the temperature of my ejaculate. When i cum, the ejaculate is quite cool, almost cold. It never used to be this way, but now almost always is. It makes no difference if i cum from sex, oral sex, or masturbation. For the record, i rarely wear underwear, but it has made no difference in the past whether i wear boxers, briefs, etc. The doctor thinks it is also not a big deal and doesn't see any reason to see a urologist. I'm not so sure i agree with him, but would like some opinions.

I'm not exactly sure how long this has been happening, but it's certainly been cold like that for over a year and just seems very odd to me.

Any advice/experiences?

Ladies, responses would be welcomed, as most of us guys only have experience with one male member.

Thanks

Never Checked the temperature

I never checked the temperature, but it is certainly not cold for me. A little warm I think.

In a place far, far away
It is highly unlikely that any fluid coming from your body is less than the temperature of your body i.e. 98.6 degrees. Unless you are dead of course.

No offense, but I would think that it's pretty much all in your head. Sometimes when you know that something is wrong somewhere (your cyst) then you automatically imagine other symtoms or ailments. Did you notice a temperature change around the time you noticed the cyst or sometime thereafter?

No offence taken.

Actually, no, i noticed it a long time ago. The cyct is only a recent discovery, about two weeks ago. That's one of the reasons i'm asking for outside advice.... that my doctors is thinking the same thing you are.

As i said in my original post it also happens during sex and is noticed by partners as well.

Actually the scrotum hangs from your body for a reason.
Has anyone ever told you if you want to make a baby you should wear boxers?
The tightie whities keep the testes too close to your body and therefore they get too hot. The testes actually produce and store sperm best at a temperature of around 35/95 degrees, about 4 degrees cooler than abdominal temperature.

Even a rise in body temperature of just one degree can reduce fertility up to 70% and the effects can last for 6-8 weeks.

Just a thought, but does your scrotum contract when you are aroused ?

If not, then it could be part of the problem.

15 yrs ago I noticed a lump in my left nut. I immediately went to see the doc. He thought it was nothing. I insisted on seeing a urologist. Had an ultrasound, blood tests, CT scans, etc., it turned out to be semanoma (cancer of the nuts). Surgery removed the nut - I went through 10 painful weeks of radiotherapy - but I'm alive. And believe me, the equipment works just as well with one nut as with two.

I hope it's nothing serious, but do get it checked out. Testicular cancer has a 95%+ cure rate if treated in time. OTOH, I knew a guy who had a lump in his testicle for 12 years before getting it looked after. He's dead.

Testicular cancer ususally shows itself when a guy is in his 20s, but older men do get it as well.

Of course I'm going from memory from what I learned 15 yrs ago - I'm not a doctor and haven't updated my research. There's probably a tonne of info on the web.

sperm and its ripening...

those who posted that testes hang outside the body because the spermatoza need to be cooler than body temperature are right, but they need to be cooler only during the ripening stage.

The actual fluid that makes up come is produced _inside_ the body, not in the testes....the individual sperm get produced by the testes, but then they get shipped inside and mixed with the fluid, the purpose of which is to make it easy for the sperm to swim up to the egg.

In other words, although sperm like to be kept cooler than body temperature, the fluid that contains the sperm should be at body temperature, given that it is produced and stored inside the body (in the seminal vesicle, as it's called).

When you come, the fluid doesn't come from your testes, it comes from inside.... (that is why if you get a vasectomy, you still have ejaculate (come), it just doesn't contain sperm).

I would be a little concerned about the cold come, and at least get a second opinion. Maybe it is nothing, but given the stakes I would certainly try to get some more advice.

Huh?

Think about this 2Fast. You are questioning the professional opinion of a licensed medical practioner and are requesting a second opinion from a bunch of lug heads (myself included) who frequent rub and tug shops. If the Doc says it is nothing then I would take his word. If you really need a second opinion call a doctor.

doctor's advice

I would trust the doctor if the doctor knew or could give a reasonable explanation of why the come was cold. But if he doesn't know why it is cold then he doesn't know shit, which is why I would get a second opinion.
