Question for Terbites and SP's

Okay, so I met an SP a while ago and we connected very very well on a mental level. She has since left the biz and I'm actually happy for her. She's has another life, a career and she was just doing this to get rid of some debts.

SO here's the deal. We talked about a lot personal things during our one and only encounter. I was actually very surprised by all of this. I'm sorry that I cannot divulge a lot of this info but she's very smart, university educated, very athletic, comes from a good family and knows what she wants in life.

But here's the thing. She left the biz and I assume she's never looking back.The other night, I was watching late night TV and saw one of those phone sex adverts and who do I see?? It's HER!

So I'm thinking this: This is a girl who's really smart, has friends that had NO idea of her second occupation and has to be careful who knows what; and yet, she's front and center in a phone sex ad? She also has a real career where I'm assuming she doesn't want people to know she has a "special" side to her. Why would she do this? I know money is the real factor here but really...all I could think is.."is she NUTS?".

Ever see Leathal Weapon where Danny Glover's daughter is in the condom commercial? If it pays the bills, what the hell. I would think most people are intelligent enough to distinguish fantasy from reality and realise that the person on the advertisement is only paid to sell the product. Hell, I wish I was good looking enough to sell something.

There is a big difference between selling/advertising a product or a service and selling yourself/body as as SP.

I totally understand what you guys are talking about.

I guess what stumps me is the fact that yes, it's just a modeling gig. However, it's the connotation of the advertisement that could cause her some trouble in the future. I don't know, maybe it won't but I could see it being hurtful that's all.

Ah, those ads are just a gig for a short term cash influx. If she was smart she will get residuals if she was on screen long enuff.

I guess you could say she's still selling her body, but now just the IMAGINE of her body....

The infomercials are sexually suggestive, but not acts of sex. I'm sure her family and friends see the ads first hand from her proudly distributing copies. And why shouldnt she? Just like appearing in Playboy in the 70s ruined a career, it's now a career boost.
